"Air" we go again

If you have read the first few posts to this blog, friends you MUST have some interest in living better. No doubt you have some concept pop into your mind when you think about the simple (yea right!) idea of living better. Everyone has his or her own idea and situation in life that would accomplish the task for them. For one person the idea of weight loss would dramatically change their quality of life. The path to success within a weight loss regiment might include a diet or diets, of healthy food, vitamins, and may or may not include an exercise regiment. For another person making TONS of money quickly and easily would seemingly make life more bearable. Health and wealth is what life is all about right? So you read everything you can get your hands on regarding "how to make money fast" or the current popular diet. By-the-way, Garfield the cat once remarked that "diet" is just die with a "t" on the end. (That's ok, I didn't laugh either). Clean air and Clean water can help the dieting process.

While the ideal life might be different for everyone, there is ONE consistent and persistent factor that ties it all together. (Ok, maybe there's more than one but that would take me off topic wouldn't it.) What would that factor be you might ask?

Go ahead and ask...

I'm waiting...

"What would that factor be?" Good job, Jim!

A. Balance.

I'm not talking about your average everyday tightrope walking over Niagara Falls while whistling the theme song to Rocky and rocking the cradle with a yo-yo. The idea is more like keeping a bike on two wheels without getting your pant leg caught in the chain kind of day.

The average person can keep up with about three major themes at a time. ie. Work ties, family ties, and social(insert one other tie)tie. Sure the factors and/or priorities may change and there may be other projects that happen from time to time but a primary schedule happens to daily life. What happens if eighteen hours a day are dedicated to work? Right, other aspects of your life become out of balance and your family life and social (religious, hobby, internet, etc.) life suffers. The same basic situation happens if you spent eighteen hours a day with the family and neglect work. And so the cycle of life is thrown out of whack.

BALANCE is one of the keys to a quality life. Ask anyone who has ever over-indulged in something delightful to the palate! After a while sweets want to return to a former life form. (ahem!)

The purpose here is to help you recognize the balance to all things considered. That is - as we consider more terms of life, perhaps we can find the balance that most effects our personal life and thus allowing US to affect a change for the better.
